Privacy Policy
Angel Investment Foundation, hereinafter referred to as “AIF” attaches great importance to the privacy of users. The following privacy policy explains AIF’s policies and practices in collecting, using, storing, sharing and protecting customers’ personal data. AIF may update or modify this policy in the future, and the changes will be published on AIF’s website.
Scope of application of the privacy policy
The privacy policy covers how AIF handles personal data collected or received by AIF, including information about users browsing AIF’s website and using AIF’s services. Personal data refers to information that can identify you (such as your name, address, email address or telephone number), and generally non-public information.
The Privacy Policy does not apply to the policies of companies not owned or controlled by AIF, nor does it apply to persons not employed or managed by AIF.
Data collection and use
AIF will collect your personal data when you register for a foundation account, use AIF’s products or services, and browse the webpages of AIF or some of its business partners.
When you register an account with AIF, we will ask about your name, email address, date of birth, gender, position, industry, etc.; when it involves certain products or services of the foundation, we may ask about your other personal information , such as phone numbers, addresses, ID numbers, and information related to your assets. After you successfully register with the foundation and log in to use our services, we will know your identity.
AIF will automatically receive and record server values from your browser, including IP addresses, data in cookies, and web page records that you request to read.
AIF uses information for the following general purposes: to provide you with requested products or services, to communicate, to improve our services, to conduct research surveys, and to provide anonymous reports to companies.
Your Privacy Rights
According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“Privacy Ordinance”), subject to the exceptions stated therein, each customer has the right to do the following:
Check whether AIF olds personal data about you and obtain a copy of such data;
Ask AIF to correct inaccurate personal information about yourself;
Be aware of AIF’s policies and practices regarding personal data and be informed of the nature of the personal data held by AIF.
According to the detailed rules of the Privacy Ordinance, AIF has the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing data inspection requests.
Regarding the requirements for checking personal information, correcting personal information, inquiring about the nature of the information held by the foundation, and stopping receiving or re-receiving direct marketing materials, please contact AIF via email together with your name, contact number, contact email and registered account information propose.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
AIF will not rent, sell, or disclose your personal information to others or non-affiliated companies, unless it has obtained your consent, or to provide you with the products or services you have requested, or under the following circumstances:
We provide information to partners who are honest or have confidentiality agreements with the foundation; these companies may use your personal information to inform you about the products and services of AIF or its partners. However, these companies do not have an independent right to share this information.
We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to respond to, enact or exercise our statutory rights or defend against claims;
We believe that it is necessary to share relevant information to assist in the investigation, prevention, or taking action regarding illegal activities, or in connection with suspected fraud, or incidents involving or threatening the personal safety of any person, and in preventing violations of AIF’s Terms of Use or illegal activities. Upon receipt of a request under Section 58 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
If AIF is acquired by or merged with another company, we will hand over your relevant data. In this case, AIF will notify you before the data is transferred and it will be subject to a separate privacy policy.
AIF distributes targeted advertisements based on personal data. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with an ad, or who view, or click on, the targeted ad meet the criteria for who the ad is targeting – e.g., ages 18-24 in a certain region lady in between.
AIF does not provide any user personal data to advertisers as a result of your interaction with an advertisement, or viewing of a targeted advertisement. However, if you view or interact with this ad, you agree to the broad assumption that you meet the criteria for the target audience of this ad.
AIF’s advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agencies, stockbrokers, and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies).
According to your settings, the foundation will publish your personal information on your account information page; at the same time, the foundation will also display your ID in the foundation under certain circumstances (such as in AIF discussion forum).
Data transfer
AIF may store, process and/or transfer personal data to countries or regions outside Hong Kong. The data will be transferred to other member companies of AIF outside Hong Kong or business partners carefully selected by AIF for data management and business purposes, especially for some data processing performed by outsourced organizations for AIF use.
By using AIF’s website or services, you agree to AIF’s transfer of your information to countries or regions outside Hong Kong.
Cookies
AIF will set and use Foundation cookies on your computer.
Advertising companies that place advertisements on AIF’s web pages, AIF will allow them to set and use cookies on your computer. Other companies will use their cookies in accordance with their own privacy protection policies, not this policy.
When AIF performs work related to its products and services, it will use web beacons (web beacons) to enter AIF’s website and extract cookies for use.
Right to modify and delete personal account information and preferences
You may modify your account information registered with AIF at any time, including your preferences.
AIF reserves the right to send you certain Foundation-related information services, such as service announcements, administrative messages, and Foundation communications, which you do not have the right to opt-out of.

Confidentiality and Security
AIF believes that only employees who have a reasonable need to contact you, provide you with products or services, or have reasonable needs due to other work relationships will know your personal information. AIF has a set of physical, electronic and procedural security measures in compliance with the requirements for the protection of personal data to protect your personal data.
